Description of the place:
You are invited to the ruins of the 16th century fortified castle which is situated on top of a
slope near the River Vistula. Tourists can visit the ensemble: the castle, the baroque mansion,
granary, the 19th century barn and household buildings. For three centuries the castle belonged
to the richest Polish dynasties. The biggest part of the residence is open to the public: the
court-yard, gallery and viewing terrace overlooking the watercourse of the River Vistula.
The monumental ruins with a park create an astonishing complex. Here, knights’ tournaments are
organized regularly. Taking a river ferry you will get to a picturesque town known as the pearl
of Renaissance which is situated on the other side of the river. Many legends are connected
with the stormy history of the town. The surrounding landscape and well preserved ideal Renaissance
urban plan of the city, contribute to the general impression of outlandishness and mystery.
You can rent a spacious palatial suite in a castle and sleep in a huge king size bed. Staying here
will make you feel like royalty. The palace also offers smaller rooms with separate bathrooms and
a spacious communal kitchen. You can dine in a historic dining room, which is great for celebrating
anniversaries and other special occasions.
